Organizations have invested heavily in data, analytics, and artificial intelligence, yet comparatively little in improving how strategic decisions are made. This essay presents a framework for understanding Decision Infrastructure—the governance, processes, culture, and leadership practices that enable organizations to make sound decisions under uncertainty—and argues that it is becoming an increasingly important organizational capability as AI reshapes organizations.
